Matthew Kachura - Project Manager
 Mr. Kachura is the Project Manager of BNIA-JFI (Jacob France Institute). Matthew has been with the University of Baltimore since 1997 and brings
expertise in several important areas to BNIA-JFI. He has experience in economic development, workforce development, survey-based research, and a variety of other urban issues. While with the Jacob France Institute Matthew has overseen the Maryland Business Climate Survey, a survey
of 1,000 Maryland firms annually on a variety of issues including business performance and expectations, business climate and environment, business retention, and workforce issues. He also has worked on a variety of projects focused in areas including regional workforce development
planning high technology issues, economic impact analysis, urban and regional issues including the Baltimore Empowerment Zone, the earned income tax credit, and commuter issues. Matthew received his Bachelor’s in Economics from UMD College Park, earned his Masters in Business
Administration from the University of Baltimore, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Public Policy specializing in Urban Issues from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Patricia Gallivan - Data Manager
 Patricia is primarily responsible for analyzing GIS data and maps for The Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance. She performs and coordinates data analysis to track and develop the Vital Signs indicators, 40 outcome indicators that show the social and economic vitality of Baltimore City neighborhoods, focusing on topic areas such as health, housing, workforce, and the environment. She works with and manages the efforts of the Alliance's Data Provider Partners, provides GIS services to local nonprofits, develops databases into spatial information systems, as well as fulfills individual data or service requests from partners and community members. Patricia has a Master’s degree in Geography and Environmental Planning from Towson University. Her undergraduate degree is in Environmental Studies from Mount Holyoke College.

Cheryl Knott - GIS Analyst
 Cheryl Knott is a GIS Analyst for The Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance (BNIA) at The Jacob France Institute. Cheryl assists in analyzing a variety of data, such as crime, housing, and a wide range of socioeconomic indicators and has helped to produce many related maps. She is also responsible for maintaining the data that BNIA uses for its publication, Vital Signs, which includes 40 indicators relating to neighborhoods in the city of Baltimore.
Cheryl has a degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in geography with a focus on social and urban geography. Additionally, she has a certificate in cartography.
