"Recent Reforms in the Chinese Legal System: Towards the Rule of Law"
Judge Yonggang (Charles) Wang, UB School of Law visiting research scholar and Fellow-in Residence, National Judicial Center, Washington, DC
 
Judge Wang earned his LL.M. degree at Shandong University Law School and his LL.B. at Shandong Politics & Law College, China.  He served as Deputy Chief Judge, Commercial Division and as Chief Judge, Yantai Division of the Qingdao Maritime Court in Shandong Province.  Since his arrival at UB, Judge Wang has made a number of professional presentations on comparative US-China legal topics, including talks at the USA-Asia Institute and the International Judicial Academy in Washington, DC, the Baltimore law firm of Gordon Feinblatt LLC, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Baltimore Division, and to a number of visiting delegations of Chinese judges in the US.
 
Join us for an hour of international camaraderie, snacks, quick Q&As, and a weekly discussion topic.
 
Generally held every Thursday, same time, same place, through November 29.
