The University of Baltimore's Hoffberger Center for Professional Ethics will host an appearance by Qasim Rashid, author of the recent book The Wrong Kind of Muslim, in the Town Hall in UB's Learning Commons, 1415 Maryland Ave. The event is free and open to the public, although an R.S.V.P. is requested. (Attendance details below.)

A vocal human rights activist and advocate of moderate Islam in America, Rashid is an attorney and a graduate of the Richmond School of Law. He serves as executive editor of the Richmond Journal of Global Law and Business.

The Wrong Kind of Muslim is a call to unite people of all faiths in the struggle for universal freedom of conscience. Often risking his own life, Rashid tells the stories of those who are fighting back against state-sponsored terrorism and religious persecution.
