The symposium will cover various aspects of transitional justice and accountability for mass atrocities in sub-Saharan Africa. Panelists will discuss the International Criminal Court, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the International Crimes Division of the High Court of Uganda, the Gacaca community courts and the proposed mixed chambers in the domestic system to prosecute genocide in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Come join the discussion on war crimes, crimes against humanity and women’s reproductive issues from an international law and public policy perspective.
