Let's Start Now: Law School Skills for Success

Excited about law school but nervous about what to expect?

This summer, get a jump on learning the skills necessary for success before you start law school. Join Claudia Diamond, J.D. ’95, director of academic and writing resources in the UB School of Law, for a fast-paced, interactive workshop focusing on best practices in case briefing, exam taking and writing.

You may choose to attend one or both evening sessions. (We encourage you to do both.)
6-9 p.m.
Hilda and Michael Bogomolny Room (fifth floor), UB Student Center
21 W. Mt. Royal Ave.
Baltimore, MD 21201
Dinner will be served both nights at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, July 22: You’ll begin to learn the skills of case briefing, how to take a law school exam by actually taking one before you even begin law school, and the “ common language” of lawyers that all law students must know.
Wednesday, July 23: You’ll review writing best practices, develop skills necessary for discovering common errors, and learn the universal rules of organizing your writing for maximum effectiveness.

These sessions are for students entering UB School of Law in the fall of 2014. R.S.V.P. by July 18 to Laura Panozzo.
