Description:

Professor Bourne – or Dick, as we knew him – taught at UB for 35 years before retiring last year. He was an excellent classroom instructor, a diligent scholar and a good friend to his colleagues on the law school faculty and staff. He cared deeply about the success of his students. Prior to joining the UB faculty in 1979, Dick taught at Harvard and the University of Richmond, and served as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.

The law school will hold a memorial service for Dick in the moot courtroom of the new John and Frances Angelos Law Center (1401 N. Charles St.) on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 4 p.m. All alumni and friends are invited to attend.
