The Accounting and Finance Faculty Research Seminar is open to all faculty interested in the topics presented. It is meant to build stronger ties an and off of campus as well as elevate the faculty's intellectual contributions.

 

Featured Speaker: Alexander Philipov, associate professor in the School of Management at George Mason University.

He'll share his co-authored paper titled Analysts' Forecast Bias and the Mispricing of High Credit Risk Stocks?

Bio

Alexander Philipov is an associate professor in the School of Management at George Mason University. Philipov's research focuses on asset pricing, risk management, and credit risk. His work has appeared (or is forthcoming) in the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and other finance and economics journals.

His areas of teaching include investments, derivatives, corporate finance, and financial institutions. He comes to Mason from American University.
