Description:

You are invited to the 4th annual Fall Teaching & Learning Day. New to this year's conference, in partnership with the Diversity and Culture Center, will be an embedded  Safe Space Ally training from 1:15 to 4:15 pm. The purpose of Ally Training is to make the campus a safer and freer environment for all members of our community, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Participants will learn about the role and importance of safe spaces, the components of sexuality and gender, the characteristics of the transgender community and gender variance, and what it means to be an ally to LGBTQ students and colleagues. Through the Ally training, the Safe Space program seeks to establish a visible network of UB Allies made up of students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
