TEDCO Presents: Preparing Effective Financial Projections

When:
Location:
William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center
Room:
BC 143
Description:

Preparing a set of 5 year financial projections is an essential element of any start-up’s business plan and investor pitch. If done well, these projections – which must be effectively integrated into the overall business narrative, and grounded in grass roots market research and sound operating assumptions – can be a significant differentiator. Yet many entrepreneurs struggle with their preparation and, as a result, many investor pitches come to a crashing halt at the financial projections slide.

This 2 hour workshop is intended to illustrate the importance of financial projections and to help make the start-up entrepreneur more comfortable with their preparation. It will consist of two parts: 1) a presentation describing a financial projection preparation “roadmap”, and 2) a case study intended to illustrate the process.
