Havanna Summer 2016: African Influences in Cuban Culture

Dr. Diedre Badejo, professor in the Klein Family School of Communications Design, led a group of seven UB students, two local faculty and one JHU graduate student to Cuba in July 2016. She will offer a talk and slide presentation about this unique study abroad experience. Former chair of the Department of Pan-African Studies at Kent State University, American Council on Education Fellow, and Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Ghana's Institute of African Studies, Dr. Badejo teaches this semester IDIS 301 World Cultures and ENGL 319 Topics in International Literature: Global African Literature and Culture.
