Professor John Bessler will discuss his new book, "The Death Penalty as Torture: From the Dark Ages to Abolition," from 5-6 p.m. in the 12th-floor reading room. Robert Dunham, executive director of the Death Penalty Information Center, will offer commentary. A reception and book signing will follow from 6:15-7 p.m. Please RSVP by March 13.
