Description:

On Tuesday, August 29th, from 5 – 6 p.m. in 102, the LCDO will host a workshop for students interested in the Department of Justice’s Summer Law Intern Program (SLIP) and the entry-level Attorney General's Honors Program.

First, there will be a brief overview of the DOJ and application procedures. Then two UB Law alumni who participated in SLIP and were hired through the Honor’s Program, as well as a former DOJ attorney, will talk about their experiences working at the DOJ, offer advice on getting hired, and take questions from students.

The DOJ litigates all matters on behalf of the U.S. Government - not just criminal cases! Environmental, tax, antitrust, product liability/tort, government contracts - DOJ attorneys have expertise in wide range of practice areas. (There are also a few regulatory and transactional sections as well.)

Don't miss this opportunity to get the inside scoop on how to get hired at the nation's largest law firm!

Application Deadlines:

  • For the Department of Justice Summer Law Intern Program or the Attorney General’s Honors Programs --- you must apply online through the DOJ website by September 5, 2017.
  • For all other federal agencies, please review the University of Arizona Government Honors Handbook which contains comprehensive application information for spring, summer, and post-graduate (e.g., Honors Attorney) legal positions in the federal government. Contact the LCDO for the password.
