So, you have an excellent idea for a new business venture and have visions of dollar bills dancing in your head. Excellent! You are ready to bring your product or service to market, but now you have to perform that one dreaded task you have been putting off; selling to a specific customer. In other words, you need to make a sales call. In this sixty-minute presentation, UB Professor Frank Van Vliet will explore the art of selling and learn how to specifically uncover a customer’s needs by using open and closed questioning techniques, and in turn provide a solution to the customer’s specific problem. In short, you will learn how to become a problem-solver, rather than a “product-pusher.”
