We are all horrified by the deaths of African American men and women in police custody. In a Zoom webinar, Prof. F. Michael Higginbotham, Prof. Amy Dillard, and alumna Kim Neal, J.D. '97, police monitor for Forth Worth, will address what it is about police culture that leads to this level of aggression toward people of color; what we can do to change it; what challenges police departments face in these racially charged times, from recruiting to training to discipline; and what they can do to improve accountability and build trust with communities they serve.
