Join the University of Baltimore School of Law, the International Law Society and the Federalist Society for a special Lunchtime Law book talk.
UB Law alumnus Glenn Sulmasy, J.D. '97, is a national security and human rights fellow at Harvard University and professor of law, judge advocate and commander at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. His recent book, The National Security Court System: A Natural Evolution of Justice in an Age of Terror, examines the history of the military court system in the United States and proposes a new solution to the issues presented by the current system in the face of the ongoing global war on terror. From the publisher: "For all those who want to explore the crucial legal issues behind the headlines about Gitmo and the rights of detainees, The National Security Court
System offers a clear-headed assessment ofwhere we are and where we ought to be going."
As always, this Lunchtime Law session is free and open to the public. The presentation will begin at noon in the moot court room (1415 Maryland Ave., Baltimore, MD 21201). Lunch will be served for attendees starting at 11:45 a.m. No RSVP is required; seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
