The Stephen L. Snyder Center for Litigation Skills and the Black Law Student Association (BLSA) are pleased to present the first annual Stephen L. Snyder Litigation Lecture on Thursday, Nov. 12 at noon. Angela Ciccolo, current interim general counsel for and secretary to the NAACP, will be the featured speaker. The event will be held in the School of Law's moot court room (1415 Maryland Ave., First Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201).
Since joining the NAACP, Ciccolo's litigation activities have included serving as co-counsel in NAACP v. Harris, which challenged election irregularities following the 2000 presidential election; NAACP v. AA Arms, which protested the practices of gun dealers and manufacturers; and NAACP v. Ameriquest, which alleged that discriminatory lending practices harm African-American consumers.
Prior to joining the NAACP, Ms. Ciccolo served as an attorney with the law firm of Ashcraft & Gerel in Washington, DC, one of the region’s premiere law firms.Ms. Ciccolo has also been instrumental in creating the NAACP Law Fellow Program, which provides law students across the country the opportunity to intern with NAACP legal counsel to develop legal research and leadership skills.
