The Bank of America Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning invites you to attend the "Driving Student Success Through a Culture of Evidence" Webinar. As budgets continue to get tighter and accountability increases, higher education leaders and decision makers are being asked to adopt and operate in a "culture of evidence." This session will focus on how institutions can positively impact student success while maintaining the commitment to access. The session will define a "culture of evidence" and identify strategies for building institution-wide commitment to addressing student success issues by using quantitative and qualitative data to better understand the barriers students are facing as they attempt to navigate our institutions. The session will also include strategies for building evaluations that assess the impact of our strategies and interventions regarding student outcomes.
Participants will learn:
- Learn PTSD basics
- A process for establishing institutional commitment to student success initiatives
- Methods for data collection and analysis to assess existing student success issues
- Techniques utilized to assess existing programs and the impact on student success
- Tools for establishing consensus and buy-in for data analysis and proposed strategies
- Evaluation methods and procedures for monitoring student success outcomes
- Tools for developing logic models and rigorous assessment plans for strategies/interventions
