Faculty will complete a Supervised Testing Administration Request form for each quiz/exam or test given during a semester. This form can be found online at www.ubalt.edu/cea under Download Forms. This form allows faculty to indicate the time, date and length of the given test for the class and to list any materials that will be allowed during the exam.
Faculty will forward the quiz/exam or test to the CEA via email at cea@ubalt.edu , interoffice mail or drop it off at AC 139 at least two days prior to the test.
Faculty will support the CEA’s policy of scheduling the quiz/exam or test as close to the test date of the class to insure that the student with the disability isn’t given an advantage of extra preparation time over their peers.
Faculty will determine, via the online or paper version of the Supervised Testing Administration Request form, how the test will be returned to the professor. The CEA will either deliver the test directly or keep it locked in an envelope for the instructor to pick up from the office. The CEA will not allow a student to deliver or return a test in order to maintain the test’s integrity and support the academic honesty policy of the University.
If a student with a disability needs to reschedule an exam due to the disability or another unforeseen circumstance the student must contact and receive confirmation from the faculty (via email) that they are granted permission to reschedule. It is the faculty’s right to deny this request.
Students are responsible for bringing their own blue books, calculators or other materials as their peers would supply in order to take the exam.
Students will not be granted extended time if they arrive late for the exam since the professor cannot always grant this allowance in the classroom. The student will need to discuss this with the professor.
All students are proctored by the CEA and any incidents observed by the proctor will be reported to the Director of the CEA who will inform my professor.
