By getting involved in our leadership programs and community engagement activities, you’ll grow and develop as a leader, citizen, and scholar. You’ll learn about yourself, your peers, and your community. By participating in Be More, you’ll discover powerful principles of leadership, service, and learning that reinforce what you’re learning in the classroom.
Take the lead and polish your leadership skills. Take advantage of multiple learning opportunities, including leadership workshops, Leadership Saturdays, discussion groups, faculty panels and many others.
Make the most of your time at UB by giving back to those in need. Find out how you can give back through individual service opportunities, day of service events, community financial education workshops, service tours of Baltimore, and more!
Leadership and Service Council
The Leadership and Service Council (LSC) is responsible for planning, developing and implementing the leadership and service program at UB. Students are instrumental in planning leadership workshops and retreats, as well as a variety of service and community engagement activities.
LSC members receive special training on individual and team strengths, event planning, promotion, group facilitation, community engagement, teambuilding, budgeting, and more. They also get the opportunity to work in teams and develop personal and professional networks with fellow students, as well as UB faculty and staff, and members of the community.
Omicron Delta Kappa is the national honor society for leadership and service. Each semester, The University of Baltimore Circle of ODK recognizes select students for their outstanding service to campus and community. As an organization, ODK fosters and supports opportunities for leadership and community engagement for all UB students.
