Overview

Be More

Be More is your key to personal and professional success.

As a participant, you will meet other aspiring leaders and those committed to service.  You will learn from skilled faculty, staff, alumni, and presenters from the community. You will be experience an array of opportunities to lead and serve, and discover ways to apply your newly-learned skills.

Many of our participants have gone on to great success in student organizations and student government—which later translated to even greater success in their careers.

Through participation in Be More, you'll have a chance to build an Involvement Record in CSI Link, which will allow you to document your efforts and share them with networking contacts and potential employers.

Our program is designed to fit UB students' schedules. Events are offered at a variety of times such as evening workshops, afternoon café discussions and full-day Saturday programs. We also offer a range of feature events every semester.

All events that you attend through Be More will be recorded in your Involvement Record in CSI Link. Your Involvement Record keeps track of your student organization participation, as well as other learning experiences that you take advantage of while at UB.

With CSI Link, you can log service hours, see a list of all events that you have attended, and write reflections for them.

  • Principles of Be More
These principles inform all that we do:

    - Everyone has the potential to lead and to impact their community and society through service and  engagement
    - Leadership is a process, not a position, and involves   a deeper understanding of the three facets of           leadership: self, groups, and society*
    - To be successful, individuals must understand their own talents and strengths, and appreciate those of others
