On-campus volunteer opportunities include:
Truancy Court Program - an on-campus volunteering opportunity. The Truancy Court Program (TCP) targets “soft truancy” — students who have fewer than 20 unexcused absences per semester but retain academic, social and emotional connections to school. The TCP addresses the root causes of truant behavior and links families to needed social services or other community-based supports.

Maryland Department of Juvenile Services - ensures the safety of the community and the well-being and safety of the youths under DJS care, holds juvenile offenders accountable to victims and communities, and assists youths in developing competency and character to aid them in becoming successful members of society.
Volunteer opportunity: Mentor a youth! Student mentors meet with youth mentees weekly on the UB campus for 1 hour of academic support and 1 hour of socializing.
