Each week during Black History Month, the Office of Diversity & International Services will highlight different Black History figures and discuss the importance of their societal contributions via social media.
Wednesday, Feb. 10
Inspired to Inspire: The Road to Entrepreneurship
(Postponed: This event will be rescheduled).
Dr. Evan Brown is the Founder and CEO of Meet & Teach, a nonprofit organization which provides disadvantaged youth with educational hands-on workshops in Cape Town, South Africa. He will discuss how he was able to turn his passion for service leadership into a life-long career. Organized by Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion.

To celebrate Black History Month, the Office of Diversity and International Services wants to hear from you about the important Black women in your life and throughout history who have inspired you. All students are invited to join this roundtable discussion that will lift up the contributions Black women have made to American society and culture. Systems of Power and Intersectionality in the Workplace
George Lee (@ConsciousLee) strives to empower leaders, youth, and social entrepreneurs in both workspaces and classrooms to grow professionally and personally. At the heart of George’s drive is the belief that Education is Elevation. Knowing and understanding other perspectives can create more informed decision making which leads to better outcomes for both you and others. Organized by Student Events Board.

Black Student Community Space
Please join representatives from the Office of Diversity & International Services, Rosenberg Center for Student Engagement and Inclusion and Dean of Students, Dr. Llatetra Brown Esters, as we host the Black Student Community Space. This is a closed session, intended to be a virtual safe space for ALL Black students at UB. We invite you to share space with us and discuss your experiences during your time at UB. Organized by the Office of Diversity and International Services.
