Recreation Center membership is on an individual basis. Only valid and current University of Baltimore staff/student/faculty and Recreation Center members may use the Recreation Center facility. All members must present valid UB ID upon arrival at the front desk. Individuals using the facility without checking in will be escorted out of the Recreation Center.
All membership fees are due at time of signing up. You must have a valid Picture ID, Payment, and Proof of eligibility for certain membership rates that we offer in order to have a membership with Campus Recreation and Wellness (CRW).
All memberships including guest passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Students, Faculty, Staff and Recreation Center Members can purchase one day passes for guest who would like to use the Recreation Center for $5 per visit. Guest must be 18 years of age or older and always be accompanied by the sponsor as well as remain in the same recreation area. Guests are not permitted to participate in Sport Clubs, Intramural Sports, Golf Lessons, Equipment Check-out, or Personal Training Programs.
Guest Passes are available for purchase at the CRW Main Office during open hours. Guest passes may be purchased for immediate use only. To purchase a guest pass, both the sponsor and the guest must present valid picture ID at the time of entry into the facility. A maximum of two (2) guests per sponsor is allowed. Guests must agree to and follow all CRW rules and policies.
Guest passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sponsors are financially responsible for loss or damage to equipment or facilities committed by their guests, and may be held responsible if their guests fail to comply with facility rules and regulations.
Intramural Spectators
Guests are permitted as spectators for intramural contests at no charge. However, the guest spectators must sign in with the Facility Supervisor and follow all Recreation Center and Intramural policies while in the facility, in addition to the following:
Outside Personal Trainers
Personal training is restricted to only those individuals that have been specifically employed by CRW. Any participant observed to be personal training with a member in the facility that is not employed CRW personal trainer may have their Recreation Center privileges suspended or revoked at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Proper University of Baltimore identification must be shown when entering the building. CRW staff reserve the right to ask for additional forms of identification at any time. Members who have forgotten their University of Baltimore ID card will be allowed access up to three (3) times, which will be denoted on their account. After the third allowance, a member will not be given access to the facility without their valid University of Baltimore ID.
Stairwell 1 and the elevator are the main entrances into the Recreation Center. All other access points should only be used in the event of a fire or other emergency. Anyone violating the policy will be escorted out of the facility.
Campus Recreation and Wellness is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Participants are encouraged to secure all personal belongings and store them in the lockers. Day locks are available at the equipment desk and semester locks are available at the CRW Main Office. Items found unattended should be returned to the CRW Main Office.
Equipment and supplies in the Recreation Center are property of the University and should not be misused, abused or removed from the Recreation Center. Any damaged equipment returned or not returned by closing time is the responsibility of the member who checked it out.
Towels are given out at the front desk for your convenience. Please place towels in the bin by the front desk after the completion of a workout.
No food or drink is allowed in the Recreation Center. Water in resealable plastic containers is acceptable. Glass containers are not allowed in the Recreation Center.
Use of any CRW facility for personal or monetary gain is not permitted. Facilities may not be used for private instruction or to provide service without written permission from CRW. Campus organizations and departments may submit a facility reservation request form 14 days in advance of the event date for approval. All non-university organizations are not permitted to reserve facility space. For sport clubs, please refer to the Sport Clubs Handbook.
The use of any equipment with the purpose of taking pictures or video, including the camera feature on electronic devices, is strictly prohibited inside the Recreation Center without prior written approval from the Associate Director of Facilities.
Posting any items on any Recreation Center bulletin boards and walls is strictly prohibited without prior written approval from the Associate Director of Facilities
If you have a request to change any audio/visual settings on the televisions and radios, please notify CRW staff in the CRW Main Office. Changing these devices is at the discretion of the Facility Supervisor on duty.
Patrons using personal stereos must have headphones.Policies
