Easel Posting Policy
Easel space located throughout the Student Center is open to members of the UBalt community (students, staff and faculty) for information related to campus events, activities and services. University community members can submit announcements for display using the following guidelines:
Locations:
Easel space is currently located outside the Game Room, Student Center Lobby, and the lounge area near the elevators on the second floor. Currently, submitted easels will be published at the location designated in your request.
Posting procedure:
Easels using the University of Baltimore name or logo must comply with the University of Baltimore Style Guide. Easel request forms must be submitted 7 days prior to the event date. Any requests submitted after 7 days prior to event will be left to the discretion of the Student Center Operation staff. Easel reservation will be provided on a first come, first served basis due to the limited space in the Student Center. All easels will be set up and broken down by Student Center Operations staff only. Easels can only be displayed through the date of the event. No easel may be displayed more than two weeks prior to the event. Not more than 6 easels are allowed in any one location (listed above). All easels in the lobby will be placed in the designated areas near the front columns and should not be moved (see easel/table layout below). A request for an extension must be submitted via email to the Student Center Operations (studentcenter@ubalt.edu) 48 hours prior to the event date. Multiple-event posters will not be accepted. Easels that have been taken down can be collected in the Student Center Operations Office.
Format and Size:
Along with required event information, event organizers can elect to upload poster art to accompany their material. Submitted art should be 72 dpi and may be submitted as either an 8.5x11” poster or at 1920x1020px. Events submitted with no art and those including art with 8.5x11” dimensions will be inserted into an operations template. Art submitted at 1920x1020px should include all pertinent information as it will be published “as is” on the digital signage displays.
Grammar and Style:
Student Center easels are highly visible to both the UBalt community and visitors to our campus. In striving to represent our university at its best, we aim to provide correct and timely information through this medium. Submitted easels should be thoroughly proofread and compliant with the University of Baltimore Graphics Standard and Editorial Style Guide. Easels submitted with obvious or excessive errors will be returned for revisions.
To submit now, completed the digital signage request form below. Should you have any questions about the process, contact us at studentcenter@ubalt.edu or call us at 410.837.5482.
