Now that you're an official member of the University of Baltimore community, it's time for us to get to know each other better.

What is orientation?

Orientation is designed to familiarize you with UB. You will be introduced to the diverse academic, leadership, cultural and social experiences available to you during your time here.

Orientation includes:

Orientation is a full-day program packed with information and activities to help you get connected to UB.  The Undergraduate program runs from about 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and the Graduate program runs from about 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Students will receive confirmation e-mails with further details about the program.

  • Keynote presentation and welcome from UB leadership
    • be welcomed into the UB community
    • learn about college life and culture
  • Meetings with Orientation Leaders
    • get to know your classmates with a lively discussion
  • Academic sessions
    • learn about your program, expectations, and tools for success
  • Breakout sessions
    • learn about campus resources and facilities (and where to go for what)
    • explore student services and ways to get involved

Throughout the day you will build relationships with the UB community, including faculty, staff and other students.

Parking and directions:

All new students are expected to complete orientation.  If you are unable to attend and would like to discuss alternatives, or have any questions please e-mail   transitions@ubalt.edu .
