Topic: Mental Health and Public Policy. Cross listed with IDIS.498.WB1. The purpose of the course is to provide an understanding of the roles that non-profit, for-profit, private, community, or governmental sectors play, in the United States and around the world, in developing programs that support and enhance the lives of those suffering from mental health challenges. Students will further develop an understanding of how public health, public safety, and public policy coincide and have a direct impact on one another.
