    As computers grow in complexity and their applications expand, so does the need for qualified individuals to work with them. Technicians who can properly install and upgrade computer systems, as well as troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, software, firmware and network problems are in ever-increasing demand. Students enrolled in the Cisco Network Engineer Certificate program (CNE) will be trained to install, repair, troubleshoot computer hardware components and systems as well as set up, configure, and support network infrastructure. The key objective of CNE is to ensure that no unauthorized, illegitimate or malicious traffic, user or application is given access to a confidential IT environment or network. Students will be able to act as the leads for information Technology (IT) departments heading teams of technicians toward troubleshooting network errors. This Certificate Program gives students a more extensive experience in the management of Local Area Networks (LANs), intranets, Wide Area Networks (WANs) and hands-on experience configuring and managing windows servers.

    As the complexity of enterprise systems and critical IT infrastructure continues to grow, there is a demand for highly skilled information-security specialists, detail-oriented data management professionals and sophisticated practitioners in Information Security who well versed in protecting vital computer networks and electronic infrastructures from attack. These information security professionals require proficiency in a variety of current and emerging technologies: computer and network security, digital forensics, cryptography, web security, biometrics, compliance & legal issues, software security, mobile security, and cloud computing security.

    The Cyber Security Analyst Certificate program prepares graduates to fill the need for information security assurance professionals to work in a wide variety of capacities to protect the information systems of diverse types of organizations.     Database Administrators (DBAs) oversee important databases that span multiple platforms and environments. DBAs build complex, highly scalable databases that meet business needs and security requirements. They are not only experts in optimizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting databases, but also in designing archival, data distribution, and high-availability solutions. DBAs develop, install, test, troubleshoot and safeguard the massive data systems inside corporations that store information. Database developers work on commercial or e-commerce websites. They develop and secure the network structures that store and return information based on Internet queries.

    The Database Administrator Certificate program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and credentials required to enter the field of database management. When students sign up for this Certificate program, they will open a direct pathway to mastering concepts that will not only prepare them for the industry but also prepare them to become elite database administrators. Engineers will continue to have a role in campus networking – running wireless access points, or WANs to connect far-flung offices. The Cloud Network Engineer is a technical, customer-facing role having paramount impact on customers’ experience with multiplatform cloud solutions.

  • BICSI Cable Technician (CNE1780 / 9 CEUs)

    Based on the ANSI/BICSI002-2014 standard, this corporate training course will provide entry-level installers with the background, knowledge and basic skills needed to function safely and effectively as part of a cabling installation team. The BICSI Cable Technician training course is split into Installer 1 & 2 Training courses.

    We will cover an overview of professionalism, copper transmission principles and general safety practices associated with working with copper cabling. The course also entails fiber transmission principles and the general safety practices related to optical fiber cabling.     Based on the ANSI/BICSI002-2014 standard, this corporate training course will cover foundational knowledge of data center design, including an overview of the data center design process, design criteria, systems, components, sustainability, commissioning and maintenance. DC101 consists of 11 modules filled with engaging interactions, knowledge checks and gaming activities designed to help you retain basic knowledge of data center design based practices.

    In addition to data center design, the course will also include life safety practices such as grounding and bonding to ensure that you can account for these issues when designing a data center.     Skills that will be important in this program are knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, computer components, systems and networks interoperability. Students will also develop critical problem solving techniques, in addition to both written and verbal communication skills that will then enable them as professionals to meet user needs more effectively. Those who complete CSND program will be able to enable a government or military institute/organization to defend and retaliate against network attacks perpetrated by malicious or adversarial computer systems or networks.

    As the complexity of enterprise systems and critical IT infrastructure continues to grow, there is emerging demand for highly skilled information-security specialists, detail-oriented data management professionals and sophisticated practitioners in Information Security well versed in the science of protecting vital computer networks and electronic infrastructures from attack. These information security professionals require proficiency in a variety of current and emerging technologies — computer and network security, digital forensics, cryptography, web security, biometrics, compliance & legal issues, software security, mobile security, and cloud computing security.

    The ISDM program satisfies the dual needs of preparing graduates to (1) fill the need for information security and assurance professionals to work in a wide variety of capacities to protect the information systems of different types of organizations, and to support the nation’s information infrastructure and (2) participating in experiential learning giving them the practical skills to easily transition into a Cyber Security workplace.  Students develop core competencies in operating systems and networks.     As a Database Administrator, you oversee important databases that span multiple platforms and environments. You build complex, highly scalable databases that meet business needs and security requirements. You are an expert in optimizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting databases, but also in designing archival, data distribution, and high-availability solutions.

    DBAs develop, install, test, troubleshoot and safeguard the massive data systems inside corporations that store information. Database developers work on commercial or e-commerce websites. They develop and secure the network structures that store and return information based on Internet queries.

    The Database Administrator track provides students with the skills, knowledge, and credentials required to enter the field of database administration.  When students complete these courses, and pass their respective certifications, they will open a direct pathway for to mastering concepts that will not only prepare them for the industry but also become elite database administrators.
