All About the University of BaltimorePoints of PrideThe University has developed a new way to acknowledge the best and brightest of UB--Points of Pride. The campaign features faculty, staff, students and alumni commenting on what makes UB a great institution. Check out the banners as you walk up Charles St., and notice the posters as you go to class. Not able to get to campus to see the campaign? We have them archived for you. What is UB?University of Baltimore is an upper-division and graduate university located in the cultural district of Baltimore, the economic, cultural and governmental center of Maryland. In addition to the University's new and historic buildings that make up its campus, it also offers classes in several off-campus sites (College of Southern Maryland and the George Meany Center). UB, proud to be one of 13 schools under the umbrella of the University System of Maryland, boasts an appeal all its own. Offering the best of both worlds, UB's size promotes a feeling of intimacy while its three schools--Yale Gordon College of Liberal Arts, Merrick School of Business and the School of Law--deliver comprehensive programs. The campus radiates with energy much like the thriving urban location in which it's situated. Among UB's talented faculty members, 94% hold a Ph.D. or equivalent. In addition to exceptional education credentials, many of UB's faculty members bring an added perspective to the classroom: industry experience in their respective fields. Students at UB relate well to this practical experience: over 50% are part-timers and most hold down jobs in addition to their studies. accreditation and recognitionAACSB (American Assembly of Collegiate Schools
