UB's Helping Hand

Carl Stenberg, dean of the Yale Gordon College of Liberal Arts, is a busy man. But somehow he makes time to lend a helping hand to a variety of public service efforts, a cause near and dear to his heart.

'83, brought Mile One Automotive onto the car-buying scene and created a customer service-savvy, one-stop-shopping mecca for automotive products and services that has people all over the Maryland/D.C. area no longer dreading a trip to the dealer.

New Kids on the Block

When new Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich took office in 2003, he brought with him what we like to call UB's "Dream Team": a secretary of state, chief of staff, deputy secretary-and even a first lady-each of whom started their path to career success at UB. Plus, UB boasts another high-profile political alumnus in the form of new U.S. Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger.
