Voorhees College 2012 Honors Convocation

Voorhees College Honors Convocation was held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in the Leonard E. Dawson Health and Human Resources Center on the campus of Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina. The guest speaker was Ty Hobson-Powell. Ty is currently a 16 year-old first year law school student at North Carolina Central University. He is the son of proud parents, Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Powell. At the age of 3, he learned to speak, read and write Chinese. At the age of 15, he became the youngest person to graduate from the University of Baltimore, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in 2 years. After graduating from North Carolina Central University he plans to attend Medical School. In his spare time he enjoys public speaking, Facebook and Twitter. He is the youngest member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
