100 Day Report
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) opened May 1, 2024, and within these first 100 days a firm foundation has been established, positioning the office to be a strong and transparent collaborator in the use of institutional data for compliance, decision-support, assessment and accreditation.
The University of Baltimore Fact Book is now available to the university community. This is the foundation of institutional effectiveness – a collective understanding of the university for the university. In over 80 pages, this document provides data on admission and enrollment, student retention and graduation, contextualized by analysis completed by other divisions such as Administration and Finance and Enrollment Management. The Fact Book will be published annually moving forward.
In addition to the Fact Book, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness has embarked on several projects during these first 100 days that build the infrastructure through which our work will impact the campus community. These projects embody our office’s values: Transparency, empowerment, integrity and continuous improvement.
Transparency:
Publish appropriate external and compliance reporting on our public website
Empowerment:
Release data sets used by our office for external and compliance reporting to appropriate campus stakeholders, for them to leverage for data integrity and decision-support. Data sets may be presented via dashboards for ease of use.
Integrity:
Provide documentation, training and ongoing support so that our products are understood in context and are placed appropriately, within policy, into the operation and decision-support mechanisms of the university community.
Continuous Improvement:
Increase efficiency in our own report development processes
Facilitate calendars for census reporting, surveys and program accreditation
Increase proactive delivery of evidence for Strategic Plan metrics, Middle States Accreditation Steering Committee, Administrative Core Assessment Team (ACAT) and Administrative Core Assessment Team (ADCAT) and campus stakeholders.
Updates for these projects and annual reports of our work will be posted here on the OIE website. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness looks forward to working with you and for you through these projects and more.
