Ms. Staveley
manages the technical operations of FEDES at the JFI. She
is the principal contact with the pilot states and federal
agencies, and with DLLR. She manages the quarterly data
exchange cycles, responds to states’ queries, collaborates
with the Executive Director on the production of FEDES
documents, and coordinates with DLLR on administrative
issues.

DAVID
STEVENS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR THE JACOB FRANCE INSTITUTE

Dr. Stevens
provides overall direction to the technical operations of
FEDES. He advises states on the use of FEDES data for
performance reporting. He develops solutions to specific
challenges faced by states, including a uniform definition
and pre-calculation of employment status and earnings
amount, so that FEDES data are easier for states to use and
reporting is consistent.

JOHN JANAK
SENIOR DATABASE MANAGER |
Mr. Janak is responsible for the
technical aspects of the data exchange. He maintains the
hardware, software, and the File Transfer Server that
facilitates the transmission of files to the participating
states and the federal agencies.
