Economic and Workforce Development Research
The
Economic and Workforce Development Research group provides economic and
workforce statistics and analytic reports for planning and policy decisions to
government, non-profit organizations, and businesses. Economic development
research aids strategic planning, community development, program evaluation, and
development of industry sectors such as high technology. Research on workforce
development includes a focus on spatial and skills mismatches that confront
low-wage workers, supply and demand factors that affect the workforce, and
strategic planning to develop the workforce. Economic policy research includes,
for example, economic impact studies and surveys that respond to issues clients
face.
