GIS Data Assistant
Cheryl Knott
is a GIS/Data Assistant for The
Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance
(BNIA) at The Jacob France Institute. Cheryl assists in
analyzing a variety of data, such as crime, housing, and a wide
range of socioeconomic indicators and has helped to produce many
related maps. She is also responsible for maintaining the data
that BNIA uses for its publication, Vital Signs, which includes
40 indicators relating to neighborhoods in the city of
Baltimore.
Cheryl has a degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore
County (UMBC) in geography with a focus on social and urban
geography. Additionally, she has a certificate in cartography.
