Digital Signage Posting Policy, Merrick School of Business

Display on the digital signage for the Thumel Business Center is operated by the Merrick School of Business’s Office of the Dean.  Digital promotion is open to members of the UB community (students, staff and faculty) for information related to campus events, activities and services. University community members can submit announcements for display using the following guidelines:

  • Location

    There is one digital display in the Business Center, within direct line of sight of the building’s entrance, on the Content submitted via the form below will be published to this screen.

  • Posting procedures

    Signage using the University of Baltimore name or logo must comply with the University of Baltimore Style Guide. Digital signage request forms must be submitted 7 days prior to the event date. Any requests submitted after 7 days prior to event will be left to the discretion of the Merrick School of Business’s Office of the Dean. Digital signage can run up to 14 days prior to the event date and will be removed after the event has been completed.

    Note: The Merrick School of Business may, at any time, and in order to better promote Merrick School of Business events and activities, limit the number of non-business school signs running on our digital display.

  • Format, size, design

    Along with required event information, event organizers can elect to upload poster art to accompany their material. Submitted art should be at least 300 dpi in resolution and have a dimension of 1920x1080 pixels.  Art submitted at 1920x1080 and including all pertinent information will be published “as is” on the digital signage displays.

    NOTE: These dimensions are different than other digital signage screens on campus.

    In terms of designing your signage, we recommend that you use a font size no larger than 150 px and no smaller than 60 px and adhere to the UB Graphic Standards. Graphics may be used to brand your event, but we recommend that the graphics not overwhelm your message.

    Art can be submitted in the following formats: .jpg OR .png.

  • Grammar and Style

    Student Center digital signage displays are highly visible to both the UB community and visitors to our campus. In striving to represent our university at its best, we aim to provide correct and timely information through this medium. Submitted art and information should be thoroughly proofread and compliant with the University of Baltimore Graphics Standard and Editorial Style Guide. Events submitted with obvious or excessive errors will be returned for revisions.

The Business Center’s digital display is highly visible to both the UB community and visitors to our campus.
