Each year, the University of Baltimore provides a broad range of targeted workshops, seminars and clinics for the business community. Experts from industry, academics, and government – sometimes as panels, often as facilitators of interactive sessions - deliver insightful and practical content designed to strengthen business leadership, organizational design, and service delivery. Workshops often focus a specific interest, whether helping a family firm navigate intergenerational transfers of authority and wealth, helping a nonprofit engage a social enterprise, or guiding business owners contemplating an exit.
Also operating out of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the Maryland Small Business Development Center – Central Region provides counsel to small businesses throughout the region. In addition to its stable of traditional small business workshops, the SBDC offers diverse expertise through its Export Maryland program, its High Impact program, and through its designation as a Small Business Technology Development Center.
