A group of graduate students from the University of Baltimore's College of Public Affairs are capping off an intensive study of civic engagement, democracy and security in Latin America with a trip to Mexico City. They are visiting with scholars and experts on course themes, checking out the city's many historical and political sites, and participating in organized social activities.

Joel Stevenson, a graduate student in the Interaction Design and Information Architecture program at the University of Baltimore, has been selected to participate in the IDEO + BerkleeICE Summer Lab. The joint program, sponsored by global design company IDEO and Berklee College of Music's Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship, is a full-time paid internship that gives students the opportunity to "explore the challenge of capturing quality information about the creation of music for use in block chains, digital ledger technology, and decentralized systems."
UB School of Criminal Justice Selected as Participant in National 'Second Chance' Program to Educate Incarcerated

The University of Baltimore's School of Criminal Justice is one of 67 colleges and universities from across the United States chosen to participate in the new Second Chance Pell pilot program, a U.S. Department of Education effort to determine whether participation in high quality education programs increases after expanding access to financial aid for incarcerated individuals.
