'Inspired Discoveries,' Undergraduate Symposium for Scholarship, April 27

The University of Baltimore's "Inspired Discoveries," a daylong undergraduate symposium featuring student presentations, poster sessions and panel discussions, will take place on Friday, April 27 on the fifth floor of the UB Student Center, 21 W. Mt. Royal Ave. This collaborative effort by Langsdale Library, the Helen P. Denit Honors Program, the Office of Sponsored Research and the Office of the Provost, is part of an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage undergraduate research and other academic achievements. It is free and open to the public.
The day will begin at 9 a.m. with a welcome by UB President Robert L. Bogomolny and Provost Joseph Wood, and will continue with student presentations throughout the day. Charles Rand, executive director of UB's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, will deliver the luncheon keynote address. Other invited speakers will be announced shortly.
Student projects may include original research conducted individually or as a team or creative works such as video games or design projects. The best project in both areas of research and creative works will receive $500, and participants' work will be featured in an online campus publication. Attendees are asked to R.S.V.P. by sending a note to Adam Shutz by April 23.
