UB Marketing Efforts, Magazine Earn Five Awards from Higher Education Marketing Report

The University of Baltimore's efforts in marketing and publications received multiple accolades from the Higher Education Marketing Report's 28th Annual Educational Advertising Awards. The awards included Silver recognition for the University's ad in Seventeen magazine and a Bronze for the University of Baltimore Magazine's fall 2012 edition as well as additional awards for print advertisements, UB's overall marketing campaign and the 2012 UB Midtown poster campaign.
The awards are as follows:
- Silver Award for Magazine Advertising (single ad): UB's ad in Seventeen
- Bronze Award for an External Publication: University of Baltimore Magazine, fall 2012 edition
- Bronze Award: UB Midtown campaign poster for 2012
- Merit Award for Newspaper Advertising (series of ads): UB's ads in the Baltimore City Paper
- Merit Award for Total Advertising Campaign: UB's 2012 campaign.
According to its website, the Educational Advertising Awards are the "largest educational advertising awards competition in the country." This year's competition generated nearly 3,000 entries from more than 1,000 higher-education institutions and secondary schools. Judges consisted of a panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors and marketing and advertising professionals from across the country as well as the editorial board of the Higher Education Marketing Report.
The University of Baltimore is a member of the University System of Maryland and comprises the College of Public Affairs, the Merrick School of Business, the UB School of Law and the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences.
