As part of the University of Baltimore's Welcome Weeks events, all UB students, staff and faculty are invited to attend an official Academic Welcome to the University on Thursday, Aug. 29 beginning at 4 p.m. on Gordon Plaza.
During this event, attendees will have an opportunity to receive an introduction to the University's leaders, and to start the school year off right with some positive ideas and perspectives:
- Students may consider the educational and transformative reasons why they chose to attend UB.
- First-year students may start on pathways for positive social development.
- Students may establish strong connections to the University of Baltimore through the introduction of UB traditions.
Representatives from UB attending the event will include President Robert Bogomolny, Provost Joseph S. Wood, Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Miriam King, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Shelia Higgs Burkhalter, the academic deans from all four of UB's schools, members of the executive committee, alumni, members of UB's faculty and staff, and the University's orientation leaders.
