Plork Press, a student-driven imprint at the University of Baltimore, will celebrate the release of its first book, Plorkology: Stories, Poems, and Essays, with a book launch party on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level of Langsdale Library, 1420 Maryland Ave. The event also will serve as an M.F.A. Reading Series event.
Plorkology is a hand-bound collection of writings from students in the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences’ M.F.A. in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts program.
Students began working on the book last summer. They collected submissions, then edited, designed, printed and bound this first anthology of M.F.A. student writing.
