Arnold Blumberg, M.A. ’96, D.C.D. ’04, an author and pop culture specialist who teaches a University of Baltimore course on the impact of zombies on various aspects of American life, is featured in a new film, Doc of the Dead, which debuted at SXSW in Austin, Texas this week and will be shown on the EPiX channel on Saturday, March 15.
The film, "delves deep into the evolution of the zombie genre" in film, television and literature, according to EPiX, and examines the genre's impact and influence on pop culture. It features interviews with directors George Romero and Simon Pegg, among others. The interview with Blumberg was taped in the Liberal Arts and Policy building.
