The Baltimore Bar Foundation and the Monumental City Bar Foundation will host their first annual joint symposium, "Race and Gender: Embracing Diversity in the Legal Profession," on Monday, Oct. 13 in the University of Baltimore School of Law's John and Frances Law Center, 1401 N. Charles St.
This day-long program will feature a penetrating examination of diversity and inclusivness in the practice of law. Local and specialty bar association presidents, managing and senior partners of law firms, and general counsel from nationally prominent corporations that do business in metropolitan Baltimore will be among the speakers.
Harold Ford, Jr., a former five-term Congressman and former chair of the Democratic Leadership Council, and currently an MSNBC contributor and analyst, will prpvide a keynote address.
