Monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery Host Mindfulness Events at UB, May 5-7

Monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery in Tibet will visit the University of Baltimore in May, in a series of workshops and lectures on mindfulness. The various events, taking place on campus May 5-7, and also at multiple off-campus locations through May 11, will present unique opportunities to be in the presence of these ordained monks, students of H.H. The Dalai Lama, as they speak, sing, pray, and teach. All of the events at UB will be held in the Town Hall and the lobby of the Learning Commons, 1415 Maryland Ave.
The events include:
- Lecture: Art and Impermanence
Tuesday, May 5, 11 a.m. - Tibetan Chanting Experience and Lecture
Wednesday, May 6, 12:30 p.m. - Lecture: On Loving Kindness
Thursday, May 7, 12:30 p.m. - Tibetan Cultural Pageant, Including Dance, Chanting, Music and More
Thursday, May 7, 6 p.m.
Other mindfulness events will take place at Baltimore Yoga Village locations in the city.
Drepung Gomang Monastic University is a highly respected center for learning, contemplating and practicing Tibetan Buddhist thoughts and science.
