A potent mix of musical and dramatic productions is on tap as the University of Baltimore's live performance series, Spotlight UB, prepares for its fall 2015 season. The series, which takes place in the Wright Theater in UB's Student Center, 21 W. Mt. Royal Ave., features performances that are as socially aware and relevant as they are entertaining.
The Spotlight UB season will showcase University of Baltimore voices with its premier event, UB Expressions, which gives students, faculty and staff an opportunity to publicly express their hopes for Baltimore; and with the fall season's final show, Baltimore Voices, a medley of original dramatic monologues by students in a UB arts class. Exciting local musicians also will take the stage throughout the semester, and dramatic readings of stage plays will allow the UB community to be among the first to experience new works from both students and established writers.
Spotlight UB is also proud to partner with local company, Stillpointe Theatre Initiative, to produce a two-week run of Stphen Sondheim's Assassins.
