Prof. Pearson Serves as Chair of City's Civilian Review Board

Bridal Pearson, lecturer in the University of Baltimore's School of Health and Human Services in the College of Public Affairs and director of the M.S. in Human Services Administration program with Coppin State University, has been appointed chair of the city's newly formed Civilian Review Board.
Pearson, who in 2015 received the prestigious University System of Maryland Regents' Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching alongside his colleague from Coppin State, will discuss his new role with the Baltimore City Office of Civil Rights board on WYPR's On the Record program on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 9:30 a.m.
Pearson will join WYPR host Sheilah Kast in a discussion about his role as chair of the newly formed CRB. He will be joined by Jill P. Carter, director of the Office of Civil Rights & Wage Enforcement. The program will focus on the CRB and the potential impact of the Community Oversight Task Force in addressing complaints of police misconduct.
