The University of Baltimore will serve as the site for a public meeting on the ongoing redevelopment of Penn Station—directly adjacent to the UB campus—on Tuesday, July 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center, 11 W. Mt. Royal Ave. The session, part of a planning effort called "Next Stop Baltimore Penn Station Plan," is free and open to the public. Attendance details, including an online R.S.V.P., are listed below.
According to the event organizers, "Next Stop Baltimore" is a "joint planning effort that will establish a shared vision for the development of Baltimore Penn Station and adjacent Amtrak-owned property." The Baltimore Business Journal recently published an article about the development effort, which is expected to result in a mixed-use retail and transit hub.
Further details and a link to the July 31 meeting R.S.V.P. are available here.
