The University of Baltimore is listed at #6 among Maryland colleges and universities in a new ranking by the Baltimore Business Journal for alumni earnings. The newspaper based its rankings on the U.S. Department of Education's latest College Scorecard, which reports on the performance of nearly all American colleges, universities and technical schools where students are eligible for financial aid.
The Baltimore Business Journal said it searched the scorecard for Maryland institutions, then ranked 40 of them by the median earnings of former students 10 years after they were admitted to the school.
UB came in at #6, with the median earning at $58,000. The University of Maryland at College Park placed one slot higher at $62,900. UMBC was one slot below UB, at $55,000.
