Writing in Technical.ly Baltimore, Lakeisha Mathews, director of the University of Baltimore's Career and Internship Center, says that UB students are committed to a vision for improving Baltimore.
"As Baltimore changes, grows and improves, UB is front and center displaying a commitment to building a better Baltimore," Mathews says. "Helping to pipeline students into the local workforce through employer engagement is just one way UB seeks to engage the community. When college students are exposed to local companies, there is a stronger chance that they will stay in Baltimore after graduation, bringing new energy to companies and contributing to the greater economy."
To that end, the publication's event services arm will host its annual tech jobs fair NET/WORK at the University of Baltimore on Thursday, March 14.
"Technical.ly has hosted the event in several venues in Baltimore over the years, but for the first time, it's working with the University of Baltimore to center the event closer to the vibrant student community," Mathews says.
