The University of Baltmore's annual Community Service Day is set for Friday, April 19. Faculty, staff and student volunteers may sign up for a work site until April 16. Help us continue this proud UB tradition.
NOTE: This is is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT. An inclement weather plan is ready for check-in if necessay. Ponchos will be available for volunteers.
Each volunteer site, accessible via this sign-up page, includes a description of the volunteer activity and the maximum number of volunteers each site can take. Once a site reaches the maximum number of volunteers, no more volunteers will be able to sign-up for that site. Sites are as follows:
- Jones Fall Clean Up
- Safe Alternative Foundation for Education
- Project PLASE
- Midtown Community Benefits District
- Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training
Commnunity Service Day check-in will be on Gordon Plaza from 9 to 9:40 a.m. A light breakfast will be provided. Each volunteer group with travel to their site together. After volunteering, participants will return to UB by 3:30 p.m. for a closing reflection, with lunch. Some sites may provide a snack, and you are welcome to bring your own snack as well.
For sites that are not in walking distance, we appreciate those who volunteer to be drivers. Sites that are in walking distance are noted. Volunteers who sign up to drive others to the volunteer site will receive two parking vouchers for one-time free parking in the Fitzgerald Garage.
